sitting here a bit bored and thinking i should do some promo :)
so, i was reading this 10 questions with piano magic (http://everythingischemical.blogspot.com/2009/11/eics10qs-wpiano-magic.html) and thought i should rip the questions off and pose them to fluffy t. bunny regarding forthcoming album "the longest desire".
One of the questions is regarding a collaboration with someone, which there aint none on mine so i skipped it :)
Hello, how are you ?
a bit snotty, and generally brain fatigued from having children around :P
What are you currently listening to ?
right now, a couple of blow flies doing random circles around me.
this morning, a flock of geese making shit loads of noise and the reverb coming back from the other side of the valley.
yesterday, helping a friend reattach his floorboards, wobbling a pair of safety earmuffs to vari-filter the reverb of 3" nails being hammered.
Can you explain your music in 5 words ?
eclectic, textural, harmonic, nice, noisey :)
Your latest album "the longest desire" ? how did the recording go ?
Well it's kind of a compilation of trax sitting around since 2006. some of them have been semi-regularly dug up and rejigged since then. the tricksiest part has been the final mix/mastering, have yet to actually get a mastered version :) i would like to do it myself, but as yet havent quite mustered the courage to pretend that i can ...
will you tour ?
lol, i dont do gigs, hahaha. well, thats a bit strong, but very unlikely as a particular promotional tool.
actually, as edward kelly (my serious side), there's a feedback machine i've been wanting to build in Max/MSP that would be great to perform live :)
what's a song you wish you wrote ?
atmosphere. Joy Division.
You can only keep/listen to ONE album for the rest of your life ..which album would it be?
fuck that, there's no answer. instead i'll randomly pick 3 of my faves..
Utom: Summoning The Spirit - Music In The T'boli Heartland. Field recordings from 1995 somewhere in the Phillipines. amazing !!!
Henryk Gorecki:Symphony no.2.. master of harmonies !!!
Maurice Ravel:String Quartet in F major. Just nice.
Are you living your dream?
that's a bit too metaphysical for me.
i am a bit scared to dream. time for a quote.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us"
Marianne Williamson- "A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles."
